Trump executive order takes aims at administrative state power

President Trump signed an executive order on February, 19 directing federal agencies to focus their enforcement efforts on regulations that are authorized by law, while reviewing and ultimately rescinding those that are deemed unconstitutional.
Ultimately, the brunt of the order could be a step forward to improving our separation of powers doctrine and pushing federal regulatory power in a direction closer to its Constitutional authority. A lot of this going forward depend on initiatives taken by Congress to exert their authority over federal agencies through greater oversight and review and legislation. Another president could simply rescind the order.
