Publication from Iowans for Tax Relief highlights the importance of federalism

A new publication from Iowans for Tax Relief (ITR), Federalism: A Cornerstone of American Government, offers a timely reminder of the foundational role that federalism plays in our republic. I’ve been able to get to know John Hendrickson at ITR some given our mutual love of American history and close philosophical alignment. The first couple times we talked, I remember thinking, “This guy’s great — we agree on almost everything.”
Recently he sent me a glossy version of the publication via snail mail.

You can find all the articles in the print edition here.
If you want a primer on the topic, Hendrickson wrote a piece titled “What is Federalism?”
For those that don’t know, Hendrickson is also a contributor to American Habits.
At any rate, the entire publication makes key points about the intellectual and constitutional underpinnings of federalism and why it remains vital today. While it’s tailored to Iowa, the arguments made are universally relevant, particularly in an era when local control and decentralized government are needed now more than ever.
